The firm is committed to contributing to the improvement of the environment and economy of North Devon.
History
Although we can trace our roots back as far as 1780, the firm has been trading in its present form as Toller Beattie LLP, since 2008.
We have built a sound reputation for serving all sections of the community, including both private individuals and commercial clients.
Geography
Primarily we serve the North Devon locality where we offer most mainstream legal work.
However in some specialist fields our reputation and catchment area extends beyond the immediate locality into a countywide and regional area - indeed, with some aspects of Environment law, we operate on a national basis.
Specialisation
It has long been a tenet of the firm that the best way to provide an excellent service is through specialisation. It is no longer possible for an individual lawyer to be a general practitioner and also provide an excellent service; the law is simply too complex and too fast-moving to permit that.
Every one of our practising partners, solicitors and legal executives therefore practices in his or her chosen specialisms and the firm is comprised of specialist departments.
Staff
Many of our senior staff have been with the firm for a number of years and it is our policy to promote from within wherever possible.
Quality of Service
We strive to provide the highest quality service to our clients. To this aim we are holders of ISO 9001:2001 quality standard. We are also members of LawNet, a national association of non-competing solicitor firms.
