Robert is a Partner and head of the firm's Planning Department. He is a highly experienced and qualified planning specialist, being a member of the Law Society's Planning Law Accreditation Scheme, a legal associate of the Royal Town Planning Institute and holder of the Law Society's Diploma in Local Government Law and Practice with Distinction.

He had previous experience in local government in London, Bristol and Wiltshire before moving into private practice in 1990. He has been involved in all aspects of town and country planning including applications, legal agreements, appeals and enforcement.
